International Women’s Day 2013
The FTUC wishes everyone a Happy International Women’s Day with the message below from the FTUC General-Secretary, Felix Anthony:
“May I wish you all a very happy Women’s Day. This is indeed a very special Day and we all recognise the immense contribution women have made in our society as mothers, sisters, workers and many other roles that they play. In the Trade Union movement, women are an integral part of our movement and play an extremely important role. The fact that women form a substantial part of the workforce in Fiji and the contribution they make must be acknowledged. Ensuring that women have a fair opportunity and participation in leadership roles in all walks of life is still ‘work in progress’. This day must serve as a reminder for all to refocus our efforts in realising this goal.”
In solidarity
